What do you do with a glut of green tomatoes?
You make Christmas Chutney, that's what. The sun didn't shine quite enough this Summer to ripen all of the tomatoes so with a "waste not want not" attitude my granny would be proud of,
I've been making chutney and stashing it on the pantry shelves to mature for Christmas. We can all then look forward to demolishing a massive cheese board with some tasty accompaniments - and a bottle or two of port.
